Who am I?

My name is Jamie Chambers, and I live in Canton, Georgia. I was born in Atlanta and grew up in north Woodstock and got my entire K-12 education in local schools: Little River Elementary, Johnston Elementary, Dean Rusk Middle, Etowah High, and Sequoyah High (Class of ‘93).

Once upon a time I was extremely conservative. I voted Republican. Newt Gingrich was my college history professor (literally). I listened to Rush Limbaugh on the radio and paid money for his books. But over the years my academic training and skepticism forced me to challenge my preconceived notions and take a hard look at things I once blindly accepted. I now stand firmly against the things I once believed and it’s safe to say I’m politically on the left.

I don’t try to hide my personal beliefs, but I show my work—sourcing and linking my articles so anyone can check my information. If you show me I got something wrong I’ll post a correction. I have an agenda but I want to get the facts correct.
